You know, for as hardcore as NYC is supposed to be, I have run into more sob stories and charity cases here than I ever ran into in SF. I'm speaking in reference to people who want a website built that does everything under the fricking sun but have only some duct tape, a nickel and a wish to pay with. When did NYC become so soft? I run into snakes in this city all the time, overcompensating for their lack of personal fortitude by condemning anyone with talent and a brain. Isn;t that how it's supposed to be??

I actually had someone come close to stiffing me for a job the other day. A job that I low-bid because it was through a friend and for an arts academy. So I end up with virtually nothing for a job I had already discounted Wal-mart style.

Seeeriously, it's enough of a pain dealing with people that don't know their ass from a mime-type when it comes to the web, but now they're going to start rippingg me offf?!?!?
